Updated: Jan 13

Correctional education faces additional challenges compared to a traditional adult education classroom. With the onset of COVID-19, many additional challenges have impacted the continuity of instruction. Virginia's Correctional Education Team rose to the occasion and continues to do so. During this session you will learn how the facilities have been impacted, discuss the impacts on staff, learn about their adjustments in programming, and hear their next steps in continuing to serve their students.

This webinar is a part of the third Maryland Adult Education Virtual Training Institute - Hosted December 2020. The facilitators for this session were Tom Connolly and Shaketta Thomas from the Virginia Department of Corrections.
