Parents as Students and Teachers

This presentation explores adult learning theory and barriers to adult/parent participation in their own education. We will look at ways parents can create engaging activities to help children (and themselves) learn essential skills that are required for success in the world of work. This session will touch on the need for the development of a structured family literacy program.

Presented by: Debbie Miller from Allegany College

This presentation is a part of the second Maryland Adult Education Virtual Training Institute.
