Updated: Jan 13, 2021

Adult instruction is most effective when applicability, accessibility, and transferrable skills are at the forefront. By using a wide variety of realia to relate everyday life with content units such as Around Town, Shopping, or Finance, instructors can help students gain independence outside the classroom. Developed for the Digital Literacy Framework: Instructor Implementation Guide, this lesson plan encourages digital literacy and self-sufficiency when students venture out to navigate their community.

This webinar is a part of the third Maryland Adult Education Virtual Training Institute - Hosted December 2020. The facilitator for this session was Amanda Walstrum from Harford Community College.
